New Plymouth Coastal Walkway (New Zealand)

Hi !

Another nice souvenir from New Zealand: New Plymouth. It was one stop required because of the beautiful hiking possible in the Egmont National Park (and the charismatic Mt Taranaki).

There’s a very pleasant walk on the coastal walkway, with the sound of the wave bashing against the shore.

Enjoy (or not) and stay tuned !

Lady Bowen’s Fall (New Zealand)

Hi !

I know, another photo of Milford Sound. I know, I’ve already bored the whole word about that place, which is something of a magical place for me.

But this one is Lady Bowen, in dramatic setting (which I haven’t cheat so much, only a simulated Fuji Velvia 100F Landscape film preset from VSCO).

By the way, this is the highest fall in the Southern hemisphere, for whatever it is worth. It one of the only too permanent falls of Milford Sounds also.

Enjoy (or not) and stay tuned !

Owhiro Bay from Belmon Regional Park (New Zealand)

Hi !

This photo concludes quite a sportive weekend: a 15km walk in the Belmont Regional Park on Saturday, some mountain bike in the Makara Park on Sunday. So to finish this weekend with style, I went to the Owhiro Bay, near the start of the Red Rocks Walkway, to shoot the sunset.

Enjoy (or not) and stay tuned.

Sunset over the Tasman See (New Zealand)

Hi !

Beautiful scenery yesterday when the sunset started. I had to drop some colleagues at Wellington airport (WLG), and then looked at the Tasman see and the South Island mountains turning pink.

Enjoy (or not) and stay tuned !

Point Haswell Lighthouse (New Zealand)

Hi !

Here’s a long exposure Point Haswell Lighthouse taken on the side of the Massey Road. Nothing really special, I agree.

Enjoy (or not) and stay tuned.

Muritai Road (New Zealand)

Hi !

Wanting to explore more about the infrared photos, I got to process this one. I shot it last week, while walking along the Muritai Road, going to Pencarrow Old Lighthouse.

Enjoy (or not) and stay tuned !

Dramatic South Island (New Zealand)

Hi !

I know it probably means nothing to you, but I wanted to share with you my first black & white photography made from an infrared shot of the South Island (of New Zealand). There’s just a touch of split toning, to bring some atmosphere.

I hope you enjoy !

Stay tuned !

Kaitoke Regional Park (New Zealand)

Hi !

Here’s a long exposure I quickly shot in the Kaitoke Regional Park, one the nicest piece of bush in the Wellington Region.

The picture is not really terrific, it was raining, and it stopped for only 10 minutes, giving me the chance to only shot one photo. I’ll do better the next time.

The park however is terrific. The bush is very dense, it looks like a rain forest, but with cool temperatures. In this area there’s a very nice track. Later I’ll try the ridge track (about 9 km, 3 hours).

Stay tuned.

Sunrise over Wellington’s industrial side (New Zealand)

Hi !

One of the only advantages of been jet-lagged is that you get the enjoy the things you usually miss while been a lazy guy sleeping all morning through.

So here’s a shot of the industrial harbor of Wellington waking up !

Stay tuned !
